Laura A. Probasco Schiele, 44, of Zanesville, died at 3:24 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born October 1, 1963, in Zanesville, a daughter of Mary K. Wilson Probasco and the late Raymond H. Probasco. Laura graduated from West Muskingum, Class of 1982 and she received an associates degree in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty State College. She was employed as a dental hygienist at Merker-McAllister Dental Office. Laura was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Hand Bell Choir, Worship Committee and active in mission trips. Laura was also a member of the Registered Dental Hygiene Association and she was a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout Co-Leader and Treasurer of John Glenn Volleyball Boosters. Surviving are her mother, Mary K. Probasco of Zanesville; her husband of 23 years, Charles K. Schiele of the home; two daughters, Taryn R. Schiele and Heidi M. Schiele and a son, Evan D. Schiele, all of the home; two sisters, Cheryl (John) Foraker of Adamsville and Linda R. (Dr. John) Schuchmann of Temple, Texas; two brothers, Kenneth L. (Diane Secrest) Probasco of Zanesville and Rodney J. (Jacquelyn) Probasco of Lakeland, Florida; many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Herman Schiele and a brother-in-law, David K. Schiele. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church, 516 Shinnick St., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the church with Rev. James Sands officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
