Lawrence F. McNally, 85, of Zanesville, died at 3:45 A.M. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born September 5, 1927, in Zanesville, a son of the late Herbert P. and Katharine M. Fogle McNally. He was Manager at Dollar Saver on Linden Avenue, and later Personnel Manager at Essex Wire. He retired as a Personnel Manager from Malta Windows and after his retirement worked as a substitute bus driver for Zanesville City Schools. Lawrence was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Walter) Norris of Zanesville, Kathryn (Chris Miller) Dinan of Homosassa, FL, and Donna (Stephen) Fleming of Mt. Perry; a daughter-in-law Nicky McNally of Mary Esther, FL; a son-in-law Patrick Dinan of Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Joe, Jeff (Anita), and Michelle Norris all of Columbus, George McNally of Mary Esther, FL, Dan (Jamie) Dinan of Brunswick, Drew (Jennifer) Dinan of Key Colony Beach, FL, Misty (Chris) Scarberry of Somerset, and Stephen Fleming of Newark; six great grandchildren Christian, Gavin, Zackary, Alicia, Nathan, and Jennifer; his loving companion Madeline Bronkar; three sisters-in-law Barbara (Jerry) Wise of Grove City, Donna Horton of Zanesville, and Dorothy McNally of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews, and long time friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley A. McNally, who died January 27, 1998; a son Lawrence Joseph McNally who died in July of 1997; and a brother William McNally. No calling hours will be observed per Lawrence's request. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 N 5th Street, Zanesville, with Father Jordan Turano O.P. as Celebrant. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Zanesville. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, was entrusted with all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice- Morrison House: 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701; or to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Thomas Catholic Church: 144 N 5th Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
