Leona L. Nolan Bichard, 83, of Zanesville, died at 11:17 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. She was born September 7, 1922, in Waterford, a daughter of the late Samuel and Lucille Cooper Nolan. She graduated from Meredith Business College, worked for Judge Walters, then worked for W.J. Heck Construction Co. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church where she was involved in the Crusaders Class and Rebekah Circle. Mrs. Bichard was also involved in the Muskingum Co. NFO and the Richvale Grange. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Bichard of Dresden; a granddaughter, Ashley (Aaron Kemp) Combs; a grandson, Jacob R. McKee, all of Dresden and two great-grandsons, Michael Combs and Xavier Kemp; a sister, Eileen Bagent of South Zanesville, a nephew, Larry (Carol) Nolan of Zanesville, two nieces, Holly (Kevin) Hartman of Marietta and Kris (Fred) Meine of Gahanna and many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ward Bichard, who died July 19, 2005; two brothers, Loren Nolan and infant brother, Leo Nolan and a brother-in-law, Howard Bagent. Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday July 9, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, July 10, 2006 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 830 Military Road, Zanesville, with Dr. Richard Boyer officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery, Center, Ohio.
