Leona L. Fellers

Leona L. Fellers, 81, of Zanesville, died at 10:59 P.M. Sunday August 26, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency room. She was born November 14, 1930 in Sullivan, IN, a daughter to the late Alfred F LeCocq and Lucille Turpen LeCocq of Zanesville. From 1968 until her retirement in 1992, she was Co-Owner and Operator of McDonald's Franchise in Zanesville and Cambridge. Leona was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for 43 years, the Y-City Women's Club, ZAAP, Zanesville Business and Professional Women's Club, many charitable foundations, Sertoma, a former member of the Zanesville Country Club, a founding member of the Muskingum County Community Foundation, and even has a piece of art work on display at the Zanesville Art Center. Surviving are her mother Lucille Turpen LeCocq; her husband of 60 years, Robert E. Fellers, whom she married June 14, 1952 of the home; one daughter, Debbie (Russ) Moore of Zanesville; one son, Doug (Rebecca Eppley) Fellers of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Angela (Wes) Hammer of Zanesville, Nicole Moore of Zanesville, Zach Fellers of Mililani, HI, Mac Fellers of Columbus, Ian Fellers of Zanesville, and Ellie Fellers of Zanesville; two great grandchildren, Jaiden and Myleigh Hammer; a brother Al (Sandy) LeCocq of Zanesville; a sister, Pat (Tom) Dusenbery of Gratiot; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Caroline Sue LeCocq. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church, 516 Shinnick Street, Zanesville, and one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2012 at the church, with Rev. Steve McGuire officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
