Lewis E. (Ed) Walsh, 64, of Zanesville, died at 1:46 P.M. Monday, August 2, 2021 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born April 9, 1957, in Zanesville, a son of Maryann Kiser Dicks. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He gave all of his free time to be with his family. Lewis was a steelworker at AK Steel for many years, a member of Faith United Methodist Church, and U.S. Marine Veteran and lifetime member of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058. Lewis also was a Harley motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding and was a member of the Harley’s Owners Group in Columbus. He also enjoyed many of bicycle rides on local paths with his family, going to live concerts (enjoyed his Blues music), watching The Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns, traveling, working around the house, and spending his time with his loving wife, children, and family who he was very kind and loving to.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Cindy Howard Walsh whom he married November 22, 1980; a daughter, Beth (Kyle) Clapper; grandchildren, Zoey Clapper and Kenzie Clapper; brother, John (Jodi) Kiser; step brother, John Dicks Jr.; nieces, Hayley (Matt) Kirkbride; nephews, Chad ( Diana) Kiser and Chase (Erin) Kiser, mother-in-law, Betty Howard; two brothers-in-law, Rick (Becky) Howard and Warren (Tammy) Howard; niece, Tori Howard; nephews, Nick (Cindy) Howard, Lucas Howard, Matt (Cady) Howard, and Jordan Howard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Casey Walsh; mother, Maryann Dicks; step-father, John Dicks; father-in-law Bill Howard and brother-in-law Eric Howard.

Friends and family may call from 5-7 P.M. Friday, August 6, 2021 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 7, 2021 with Pastor Joy Wigal officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. with full military honors provided by the United States Marines with the assistance of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29.
