Lois A. Lamphar, 89, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at 2:35 P.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 28, 1935, in Waynesfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles P. and Cleta (Harpst) Coates. She was a cafeteria manager for over 20 years at Waynesfield-Goshen Local Schools and was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Kurt) Smith of Zanesville, Ohio; a son, Lance (Lori) Lamphar of Lebanon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lindsay (JR) Maldonado of Lebanon, Ohio, Eric Lamphar of Bellbrook, Ohio, Andrew Lamphar of Lewis Center, Ohio and Kyle (Megan) Smith of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; and five great grandchildren, Jacob Maldonado, Noah Maldonado, Luke Maldonado, Cali White and Gabriella Smith.
In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jean Lamphar, who died June 15, 2010; and a granddaughter, Kairamy Smith.
A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with no services to be held.
