Mary Loretta Vandenbark, age 89, of 1854 Norwood Blvd., went to be with her Lord at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006 at the Helen Purcell Home. Loretta was born November 19, 1916 in Antrim, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert S. And Minnie Gray McBride. She was a longtime member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder, a member of the church Rebekah Circle and a member of the Alpha Sunday School Class. Loretta was a Registered Nurse serving Bethesda Hospital and later was employed for 16 years at the Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department. She was a member of the Bethesda Hospital Alumni, served as a Red Cross Volunteer at Bethesda Hospital, a 55 year member of the Richvale Grange and a member of the State and National Grange. She was a member of the Madison High School Alumni, a member of the Senior Citizens # 1, a former member of the Richvale Farm Bureau Council for 50 years and a former member of the Zane Delphian Society. Surviving are a daughter, Donna (William) Kelley of Columbus, a son Dale V.(Kay) Vandenbark of Zanesville, nine grandchildren, Leitsa (Jeff) McGuire, Lori (Kelly) McClellan, Todd (Sey) Kelley, Vicki (Chad) Britton, Doug (Julie) Vandenbark, Shelley Mayberry, Angie (Sean) Pasquet, Jessica Vandenbark and Melissa Vandenbark, ten great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Vandenbark, a son, Dr. G. R. Vandenbark, a great grandson, Ryan McGuire, and a sister and brother in-law, Marie and Ralph Inglish. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m.Friday, May 5th, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the Trinity United Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the church with the Rev. Dr. Richard Boyer officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Military Rd., Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
