Lucille Irene LeCocq, 103, of Zanesville, died at 12:40 P.M. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born December 13, 1911, in Sullivan, IN, a daughter of the late Arista and Lela Purcell Turpen. She was formerly the owner and operator of Lucille's Grill in Dearborn, MI for 20 years, and after her retirement was co-owner of the Travel lodge in Zanesville, OH from 1969-1978 with her husband Alfred F. LeCocq. She was a member of Market Street Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star #485, Pilot Club, Blue Triangle, and former member of the Zanesville Business and Professional Women's Club and the American Business Women's Association. Surviving are a daughter Patricia (Tom) Dusenbery of Gratiot; a son Alfred J. (Sandy) LeCocq of Zanesville; two sisters, Jeanette Riggs of Linton, IN, and Betty Jo Gajos of MI; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend Rebecca Eppley of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred F. LeCocq, who died August 2, 1972; daughter and son-in-law Leona and Robert Fellers; infant daughter Carolyn Sue LeCocq; three sisters, Lois Clapper, Leota Wagner and Thelma Clark; and her brother Elmer Lowell Turpen Friends and family may call two hours prior to the funeral service which will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Rev. Wesley Anderson officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Alfred at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
