Lucille Swick Warner, 93, of Zanesville, died at 5:02 a.m. Wednesday, April 19 2006 at the Select Speciality Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio. She was born September 29, 1912 in Berne, Noble County, Ohio to the late Thomas Swick and Audrey Thompson Swick. She grew up with her younger siblings, Grace, Lewis and Dana. Their mother died in 1931, the year Lucille graduated from Summerfield High School. She worked in the cafeteria at Zanesville High School and as a cashier at Zakany's Foodtown. Surviving are a son, Gary Warner and wife Zella of Zanesville and a daughter, Gloria King Poynter and husband Norman of Chattanooga, TN.; five grandchildren, Michelle King Lautanen, of El Segundo, CA., Brian King of Ponte Vedra, Fl., Jody King Rudisill, of Chattanooga, TN. and Dana Warner and Debbie Warner Stemm, both of Zanesville. She is also survived by great grandchildren: Alec and Emma Lautanen Walker, Nathaniel, Samuel and Meredith King, JB and Lindsay Rudisill, Kelsey Stemm and Brittnee and Brandon Warner. Very caring friends, Elizabeth Fisher, Helen Horton, Herbert Jones, Gene Moore and personnel at the Muskingum County Senior Center have helped Lucille remain in her home. She considered Dr. Bruce Merwin a remarkable doctor and a dear friend. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the Brighton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mary Gene Boteler officiating. Burial will be in Berne Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Center for Seniors.
