Luvonne Pitts

Luvonne Pitts, 88, of Zanesville died at 4:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Helen Purcell Home. She was born April 9, 1929 in Calvin, WV, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Nettie Mullens Lawson. She retired from Franklin Local School District as an elementary school principal and was a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are her three sons, Ernest Edward (Carole) Pitts of Zanesville, Ted Pitts of Xenia, and Larry Pitts of Monument, CO; four grandchildren; a brother, Ted Spencer of Tioga, WV; two sister, Ruth Gilmore of Bristol, TN and Betty Curry of Tioga, WV; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Pitts, who passed away April 4, 2013; a grandson, Matthew Pitts; and a brother, Troy Spencer. No calling hours or services will be held. A Cremation-With-Care has taken place.
