Madlin L. Conkle

Madlin L. (Midge) Conkle, 88, of Zanesville, died at 12:03 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Willow Haven Care Center. She was born May 10, 1920, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Walter and Lillian Jennings Leach. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. She is survived by three children, Bobbi (Larry) Watton of Florence, Kentucky, Charles (Monika) Conkle of Crooksville and Julie Conkle of the home; 6 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Conkle, who died in 1970; two sisters, Ethel Sherwood and Julia Shipman and a brother, Buddy Leach. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with the Pastor Brian George officiating.
