Margaret Korn, age 97, of Columbus, Ohio, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor, Columbus Ohio after a long illness. She was born July 29, 1907 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late John & Estella Gregg Thompson. Margaret spent some of her younger years on Indian reservations in Montana and North Dakota where her father worked. She grew up mainly in New Concord, Ohio and attended Muskingum College. She graduated from Ohio University when her own children were attending college. For many years Margaret was also a teacher at Munson School in Zanesville, Ohio. Surviving is a son, J. David Korn of Denver, Colorado, a daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Arthur Greenberg of Columbus, and grandchildren, Josh (Kate) Greenberg of Baltimore, MD and Jeanne Greenberg of Boston, MA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Fritz" Korn, and a brother, J. Bernard Thompson. No calling hours will be observed. A grave-side service will be held at a later date.
