Margaret E. Mattingly, of Zanesville, died at 3:15 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at Helen Purcell Home. She was born in Muskingum Co., Ohio, a daughter of the late Floyd and Margaret Kilpatrick Bratton. She retired as a dental assistant from Dr. Damsel and Dr. Ryder's office and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, John O. Mattingly, whom she married February 20, 1946 of the home; four nieces, Margaret Ann Waltz of Santa Anna, CA., Lynn (Ted) Burchfield of Southern Pines, NC., Barbara (Mike) Callahan of Zanesville and Susie (Peter) Thompson of Princeton, NJ.; and several great nieces and a great nephew. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonita Shelton. Friends may call from 3-6 p.m.with Rosary recited at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Emmanuel Bertrand as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
