Margaret E. Mccormick

Margaret E. McCormick, 87, of South Zanesville, went home to be with the Lord at 2:38 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born February 23, 1921, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Elmer and Bessie Holcomb. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Pythian Sisters, loved to crochet, quilt and enjoyed camping. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Russell D. McCormick Sr. of the home; two sons, James L. (Kathleen) McCormick and Russell D. (Donna) McCormick Jr., all of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Brian (Angela) McCormick of Frazeysburg and Lora (Bill) Rexroad of Marietta; three great grandchildren, Andrew and Cameron McCormick and Emily Rexroad and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester, Sherman and Jim Holcomb; two sisters, Evelyn Geyer and Irene Gilliland. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at Southside Baptist Church, 1604 Pine Street with Pastor Glenn Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.
