Margarette Adams

Margarette Adams, 87, of Zanesville, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born April 1, 1922, in Philippi, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Alonzo and Julia Norris Kennedy. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Wanda Tom Adams of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Tony and Bruce Adams, both of Zanesville and five great grandchildren, Melissa, Travys, Morgan, Taylor and Lexi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe W. Adams, who died June 8, 1994; a son, Gerald "Billy" Adams, who died September 12, 2008; four sisters, Maud, Alberta, Lena and Pauline; seven brothers, Alvin, Willy, Ben, Howard, Razz, Charlie and Johnny; and her favorite dalmatian companion, Sparky. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Union Tabernacle Church, 2425 Hartford Ave., Zanesville with Rev. Terry D. Newman officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
