Marilyn Carroll, 75, of Zanesville, died at 12:29 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2008 at her residence. She was born March 31, 1932, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Morgan Michael and Ethel G. Kessler McCarty. Marilyn graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family that loved her deeply. She enjoyed watching the food network, cooking, baking, gardening and taking care of her family. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Charles R. Carroll, whom she married April 18, 1949, of the home; two daughters, Christy Millinger and Trink (Kevin) Fraunfelter, both of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Carrie (Scott Sneddon) Millinger and Cody Baker, both of Zanesville and Kyler Carroll of Pennsylvania; a great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Millinger of Zanesville; special nephew and niece, Jeff and Linda McCarty and family of Zanesville and special pet, Sadie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Carroll, who died July 4, 2002 and two brothers, Jack and Richard McCarty. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
