Marilyn A. " Mickey " Kerby, age 69, of Zanesville, died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at the Inn at North Hills. She was born September 16, 1934 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Wallace Mahaney. Mrs. Kerby was a former bookkeeper at the St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, member of the Daughters of Isabella, a former member of the Greater Zanesville Singers and a former volunteer at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. Surviving are two daughters; Susan J. (Terry) Wagner of Dresden, Rosemary Kerby of Hilliard Ohio, two sons; Shawn R. (Eleanor) Kerby and E. Chris (Kristi) Kerby, both of Zanesville, three sisters, Betty Melick of Columbus, Carol Hoffman of Zanesville, and Joan (Paul) McCollum of Seffner FL., nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Kerby , who died October 24, 1999),by her mother and father in-law Carl & Hazel Kerby and a sister Ruth Axe. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2004 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Thomas Di Fede as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt Olive Cemetery. A Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alfred Carr Center or to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care.
