Marilyn J. Brock Schilling, 55, of Chandlersville, died at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at her home. She was born June 2, 1949 in Zanesville a daughter of the late William E. & Geraldine Fitch Brock. She was the financial secretary for Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, and had worked as a receptionist at The Inn at North Hills and as a secretary for Variety Attractions. She was a member of Chandlersville United Methodist Church and Immanuel United Church Of Christ. Marilyn was very creative in that she loved to make crafts, wedding cakes and floral arrangements, enjoyed traveling and raising dashaunds. Surviving are her husband, John L. Schilling, whom she married April 23, 1977, of the home, who retired from Blue Rock State Park, three daughters, Shannon Schilling Gawell of Lancaster, Karen ( Ric )Bishop Bell of Blacklick, and Stephanie ( Casey ) Bishop Clouse of Chandlersville, two sons, John ( Kelly ) Schilling of South Zanesville and Robert ( Thasia ) Schilling of Duncan Falls, seven grandchildren, Amanda, Andy, Grant, Ryan, Cole, David and Cady, a step-mother, Laverna Brock of Zanesville and a sister, Billie Peters of Orlando, Florida. Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2004 at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October, 9 at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Winner officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville. Memorial contributions may be made to The Chandlersville Homecoming Fund.
