Marilyn J. Fenton Smart, 61, of Zanesville, died at 5:33 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born May 18, 1948, in Pontiac, MI , a daughter of the late Thomas Fenton and Elizabeth King Fenton. Marilyn was a former employee at Custom Coil, and a longtime member of the Chandlersville United Methodist Church. She was an avid supporter of Christ Table and Eastside Ministry, and was a graduate of John Glenn High School Class of 1966. Marilyn was a loving and caring lady who always thought of others before herself. Surviving are her husband, Robin B. Smart, whom she married October 9, 1971, of the home; a daughter, Melinda (Chad) Camp of Zanesville; a son, Matthew (Krysten) Smart of Zanesville; three sisters, Sandra Jo (Rick) Chattos of Zanesville, Karen (Ralph) Morrison of Zanesville and Susan (Dave) Rich of West Bedford, Ohio; a grandson, Kolland Browning; a step granddaughter, Mariah Camp; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Richter officiating. Burial will follow at Ark Springs Cemetery in Cumberland, Ohio.
