Marion Gary Hatfield Iii

Marion Gary Hatfield III, 38, of Zanesville, died at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Licking Memorial Hospital emergency room in Newark. He was born July 7, 1969, in Zanesville, a son of Marion (Jr) and Mary Jo Hatfield of Adamsville. He was a construction worker and roofer for the Dwain J. Merriam Company and an active member of the Adamsville Community Progressive Council. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and horseback riding. Surviving in addition to his parents, Marion Gary (Jr) & Mary Jo Hatfield of Adamsville are his loving wife, Marcia K. Green Hatfield, whom he married November 19, 1988, of the home; two daughters, Lakin N. Hatfield, Katlin N. Hatfield and a son Zachery B. Hatfield, all of the home; two sisters, Becky (Bob) Holdcroft of Adamsville and Scarlett (EJ) Spiker of Adamsville; a brother, Eric Hatfield of Philo; two grandmothers, Hazel Hatfield of Adamsville and Mary Fortner of New Concord; two nieces, Paige Holdcroft of Adamsville and Sydney Summers of Dresden; four nephews, Copen Holdcroft of Adamsville, Cameron Summers of Dresden, Winston Spiker and Dalton Spiker, both of Adamsville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tony and Wanda Green of Adamsville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eric and Michele Summers of Dresden; many uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by 2 grandfathers, Marion (Friday) Hatfield and Gus Fortner. No calling hours will be observed. A caring cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville are entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benefit Account of Marion G. Hatfield III at any Century National Bank location for the college education of Gary's children.
