Marion J. Swingle, 82, of Cambridge, died at 4:40 P.M. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Southeastern Med Center, Cambridge. She was born August 5, 1933 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Delmar S. and Leona M. (Gray) Swingle. She was a 1951 graduate of Lash High School in Zanesville and attended Ohio University Zanesville part time with a 4.0 grade average. She was a member of the Norval Park Church of Christ and was baptized at Norval Park Church December 30, 1951, volunteering in the office, printing bulletins, and teaching Sunday school. She had served as treasurer for Business and Professional Girls Club for four years in Cambridge, Ohio. She worked many years in black and white photography business with Eddie Bair, Zulandt Drugs, Stinard Drugs, as well as a sales clerk at Cambridge Camera and then in color processing at Pictures Plus in Zanesville. When her health began to fail due to the effects of polio which she suffered at age 8, she worked at Accu-Dial both in Cambridge and North Canton, then at Ameridial in Cambridge from which she retired in 1995. She also was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Club. She loved to travel, going to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland, as well as Canada, Luxemburg, Liechtenstein. She is survived by her beloved sister, Leona Patricia Patty Henderson of Montrose, Colorado; three nephews Robert, William, and James; niece Heidi; and several great nieces and great nephews. She has also left many friends wherever she went, lived, and worked. She had a beloved cat, Tony, for 18 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Cathie. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 1:00 P.M.
