Marjorie W. (Kroft) Shipley

Marjorie W. Shipley, 88, of Zanesville died at 3:55 P.M. on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. She was born March 10, 1925, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ina Rhoades Kroft. She had worked in Administration at Zanesville High School, was a member of Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, and was an avid participant of the Silver Sneakers at Genesis Lifestyle & Fitness Center. Surviving are two sons, Rod (Renee) Shipley of Richfield, and Dean (Beth) Shipley of Upper Arlington; two grandchildren, Julie Shipley of Cleveland and Jamie Shipley of New York, NY; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rodney J. Shipley who died in 1989; and a brother Clarence Kroft Jr. Friends and family may call from 2:00-5:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, and one half hour prior to the funeral. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church, 1304 Euclid Avenue, Zanesville, with Pastor Gay Blau officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Rodney at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
