Marlene A. (Simon) Foreman

Marlene A. Foreman, 69, of Zanesville, died at 9:21 a.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born July 16, 1942, in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Edward and Leona DeVine Simon. Marlene graduated from Rosecrans High School, worked for the Akro Corporation and Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, enjoyed a good yard sale and was an avid reader. Surviving are a son, Robert E. Foreman Jr. of Zanesville; two daughters, Beth (Jim) Sellars of Zanesville and Dianne (Rob) Murdock of Parkersburg, WV; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Sellars, Joey Sellars, Julie Sellars, Bobby VanClief, Joey VanClief, Colton Foreman, Clayton Foreman, Karline Murdock and Alex Murdock; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy (Mike) Starrett of Zanesville and Mary Kay (Mike) Kohler of Zanesville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Foreman Sr., who died January 26, 1989; a son-in-law, Doug VanClief; and a brother, Paul Simon. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where Vigil Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 North 5th Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Jordan Turano as celebrant. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Robert at Zanesville Memorial Park.
