Martha L. (Mcdaniel) Scott

Martha L. Scott, 76, of Zanesville, died at 8:55 P.M. on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born June 27, 1937, in Blue Rock, a daughter of the late D. L. "Red" and Clairbel Sevall McDaniel. Martha graduated from Malta-McConnellsville High School and was active in their Alumni Association. She was a volunteer at Good Samaritan and Bethesda Hospitals, loved to play bingo, and enjoyed bowling. Surviving are a daughter Marty (Scott) Lewis of Reynoldsburg; a grandson Ian Lewis of Reynoldsburg; and two sisters, Judy (Ernie) Beard of Lancaster and Cathy McDaniel of Philo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Claudia Kay McDaniel. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. She will be laid to rest at Duncan Falls Cemetery, Duncan Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home: 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 to assist with funeral expenses.
