Martha J. Wilson, 58, of Zanesville, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 13, 1951, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late John Wilson and Ruth Darr Ziemer. She was a graduate of Zanesville High School Class of 1969 and graduated from the Carousel Beauty School. Martha was the owner and operator of Ma-Bels Beauty Salon where she enjoyed taking care of her clients. Martha was an avid gardener and a large part of her life was spent taking care of her grandmother, Ruth J. Wilson. Surviving are four sisters, Sandra (Sidney) Stiers of Zanesville, Janet Felt of Cambridge, Karen (Rick) DeVolld and Kimberly (Scott) McDonald, both of Zanesville; three brothers, Steve Wilson of Zanesville, Jeffrey (Shari) Wilson of Duncan Falls and Daniel Wilson of Zanesville; an aunt, Edith Gonda of Zanesville; an uncle, Walter Darr of Kettering and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John C. and Ruth J. Wilson and her loving companion, Howard Roe. At Martha's request, a dignified cremation has taken place.
