Marty B. Hittle, 50, of Newark, died Sunday, January 7, 2007 in Newark. He was born November 24, 1956, in Zanesville, a son of the late Walter and Gloria Stanley Hittle Jr. He was a coal miner and a heavy equipment operator. Marty enjoyed playing and coaching softball and baseball and was an avid hunter. Surviving are two daughters, Julie (Richard Darner) Hittle and Lindsey Hittle, all of Frazeysburg; a son, Bryan Hittle of Frazeysburg; two granddaughters, McKenzie and Kaitlyn Hittle; two sisters, Christy (Richard) Wisecarver of Adamsville and Lori (Charles Eric) Spiker of Dresden; a brother, William E. (Sue) Hittle of South Zanesville; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, his best friend, Dr. John (Brenda) Lepi, MD of Nashport; the mother of his children, Jackie Hittle of Frazeysburg. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Blaine "Pop" and Iris "Mom" McGinnis and paternal grandparents, Walter and Mary "Mammaw" Hittle Sr. and his childhood friend, Johnny Wisecarver. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Roy Keyser officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Twp. Baptist Cemetery, Zanesville.
