Marvin D. "Pudgie" Neal, 69, of Zanesville, died at 2:23 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at his home. He was born September 26, 1940, in Philo, Ohio, a son of the late David and Eva Kirkbridge Neal. He was a furnace operator for 29 years for Ohio Ferro Alloy and a member of the Eagles. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, JoAnne Hittle Neal, whom he married December 13, 1996, of the home; two step sons, Terry Johnson and Todd Johnson, both of Zanesville; two sons, David Neal of New Concord and Brian Neal of Newark; grandchildren, Cameron, Jaden, Brock, Megan CJ, Summer and Craig; and a brother, Donald (Jean) Neal of Philo. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow at Duncan Falls Cemetery.
