Mary Evelyn Batteiger

Mary Evelyn Batteiger, 81, of New Lexington, died at 11:35 A.M. on Monday, December 10, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare New Lexington Center, New Lexington. She was born June 29, 1937, in Clarksburg WV, to the late William Ross and Lula M. Stotts Wisehart. She worked for ODC Nursing Home and Good Samaritan Hospital and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Phyllis (Kenneth) Campbell of Zanesville and Patricia O'Neil of Plain City; many nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Frances Batteiger; and brother-in-law, Bob (Betty) Batteiger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty five years, Jerry Batteiger and brother-in-law, Don Batteiger. A Cremation-With-Care will take place with no services to be held.
