Mary Jane (Merriam) Berwinkle

Mary Jane Berwinkle, 90, of Zanesville, died at 1:11 P.M. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born February 1, 1926 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Rosetta Boyer Merriam. She was a member of First Christian Church, worked for Mosaic Tile and retired from GE in New Concord. Mary Jane was a proud volunteer at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital for many years, enjoyed playing Bingo at Brookdale , loved dogs and especially her bird, Dee. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (John) Morrow of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Kelly (Tracy) Morrow of Zanesville and Kimberly (Larry) Paul of Zanesville; five great grandchildren, Paige Morrow, Peyton Morrow, Luke Morrow, Anna Marie Paul and Alaina Grace Paul; a sister, Dorothy Clark of Zanesville and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth L. Berwinkle, who died January 31, 2007, a brother, Norman Merriam and five sisters, Helen Moore, Juanita Williamson, Katherine Snack, Hildred Bednarczuk and Annabelle Ripley. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Kenneth, at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora.
