Mary Louise James Bogard, 84, of Zanesville, died at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at her home. She was born February 12, 1928, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Henry and Letha Phillis James. She was a Lash High School graduate, worked for many years at Essex Wire and J.C. Penny, and was a long time member of Coburn United Methodist Church and later First United Methodist Church. She was also a foster grandmother, and a former member of the Zane Trail Kampers. Surviving are three sons, John Bogard of Zanesville, Gary (Cheryl) Bogard of Mansfield, and Thomas Bogard of Columbus; a daughter Sally Bogard of Zanesville; a sister Rhea (Ralph) Nixon of Zanesville, five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a sister-in-law Wanda James of Cambridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph Luther Bogard who died April 13, 2003; and six siblings, Raye James, Lawrence James, Dorothy Lynn, Neva Lyons, Freda Shoe, and Dale James. Memorial services will be held at a later date. All arrangements were entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
