Mary Jane Cain, 94, of Zanesville, died at 4:24 P.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Primrose Retirement Community. She was born November 11, 1921, in Logansport, Indiana, the daughter of the late John A. and Edna H. Nickel Geyer. She married Heil A. Cain on June 23, 1956. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1939, attended Purdue University and graduated from Indiana University with a BS Degree in Marketing. Mary Jane worked as a hotel auditor at Zane Hotel, McArthur Hotel in Ironton and the Granville Inn. She had also worked at the Roseville Charcoal and Manufacturing Company. She was past president of Zanesville Business and Professional Women's Club, Blue Triangle, Town and Country Garden Club, Zanesville Women's Club and was also a member of the Pilot Club, Good Samaritan Charity Circle and the Order of Eastern Star #375. She played in several Bridge Clubs and enjoyed golf. She is survived by a niece, Norma Louise Marsh of Kansas; a nephew, Ronald F. Geyer of Kokomo, Indiana; and seven grandnieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Heil A. Cain; and three brothers, Norman, John, and Richard Geyer. No calling hours were observed and a private graveside service was held. BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE was entrusted with all arrangements.
