Mary Eileen Champion

Mary Eileen Champion, 90, of Zanesville, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 9:46 a.m. at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born December 28, 1918, in Stovertown, Oh., a daughter of the late William and Carrie Bradley Elmore. She was employed as a lab technician for Dr. McCormick for 20 years and a member of the North Terrace Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marla (James) Jerina, of Bedford, Oh.; a sister, Monna Floyd of Crooksville, Oh.; three grandchildren, Robert Curtis Fisher of North Olmstead, Oh., James Matthew Fisher of Bedford, Oh., and Julie Eileen Watson of Niles, Oh.; four great grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Harris of Stow, Oh., Heather (Ryan) Pearce of Chambersburg, Pa, Nicholas and Bradley Watson, both of Niles, Oh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Champion, who died December 13, 1989; and a sister, Marjorie L. Shilling. No calling hours will be observed, a caring cremation will take place. Burial will be at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park. The Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Oh. has been entrusted with all the arrangements.
