Mary E. Dollings, 92, of Zanesville, died at 8:46 A.M. on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born January 29, 1921, Zanesville, a daughter of the late Bernard S. and Virginia L. Mason Hawxhurst. She was a farmer and a homemaker, a lifelong member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and a member of Richvale Grange for over 50 years. Surviving are two daughters, Michele (Danny) Johnson of McConnelsville and Jamie (Albert) Jordan of Frazeysburg ; a son, Jeffrey J. Dollings of Zanesville; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph W. Hawxhurst of Reynoldsburg and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband , James A. Dollings, who was killed March 2, 1951 in the Korean War; a sister, Grace E. Patterson and a brother, Bernard M. Hawxhurst. Per Mary's request, no calling hours will be observed. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 North 5th Street, Zanesville with Fr. Stephen Hayes O.P. as celebrant. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, James at Mt.
