Mary Louise (Soter) Graves

Mary Louise Graves, 93, of Zanesville, died at 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born July 18, 1917, in Benwood, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John and Anna M. Hynes Soter. She was a life member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church where she was D of I and also belonged to the Senior First Club. She was a wife, mother, grandma and friend to all. Surviving are two daughters, Delores Ann Strohacker of Winchester, KY and Carol Jane (Fred) Wilson of Zanesville; a son, James Eugene (Lois) Graves of Ostrander, OH; 9 grandchildren, Delbert (Michelle) Strohacker Jr., Donnie (Rebecca) Strohacker, Dennis (Beth) Wilson, Gregg (Annie) Wilson, Rick (Kendra) Wilson, Ronald (Julia) Graves, Debra (Duane) Robinson, Douglas (Shelly) Graves and Bradley Graves; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a step brother, Paul Zigo of Zanesville; and a step-sister, Mary Zigo of Milantok, WI; . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Orville R. Graves, whom she married December 28, 1935 and who died October 4, 1987; her step father, Steve Zigo, who died January 22, 1983; a son, Jeffrey Eugene Graves, who died October 4, 1961; an infant daughter, Nancy Graves; two brothers, Mike and John Soter; a sister, Anna Zigo; and a step sister, Phillis Stone; a half brother, Joseph Zigo; two half sisters, Margaret Corbin and Rose Donnley; and a son-in-law, Delbert Strohacker. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville where vigil services will be held at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Martin Ralko as celebrant.
