Mary Louise Griffiths, 79, of South Zanesville, died at 12:55 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2007 at her residence. She was born February 26, 1928, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Luther and Laura Gifford Cantwell. She was a retired bobbin winder from Custom Coil and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mary was an avid fisherman, camper and crocheter. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Raymond R. Griffiths of the home; two sons, Raymond E. (Kathy) Griffiths of Littleton, Colorado and Larry A. (Barbara Wright) Griffiths of South Zanesville; six grandchildren, Chris, Amber, Rodney, Thomas, Jennifer and Brian; seven great grandchildren, Dallas, Justice, Tessa, Maddy, Jake, Mairekk and Elizabeth; a brother, Charles (Bev) Cantwell of Zanesville; a sister, Roberta (Ron) Butcher of Zanesville; a niece, Linda Meeker of Columbus and a nephew, Rick Butcher of Zanesville Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Griffiths. No calling hours will be observed. A caring cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. James Sands officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville are entrusted with all arrangements. She generously gave her motherly love to, not only her children, but also grandchildren and extended family.
