Mary E. Hill

Mary E. Hill, 89, of Zanesville, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born September 7, 1917, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late William T. and Mary Ethel ( Murphy) Tracey. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, an avid gardener and reader. Mary was a member of the Zanesville Women's Bowling Association, enjoyed playing Bridge and was past president of the Zanesville High School Devilettes Booster Association. Surviving are a son, R. Dean Hill of Nashport and four daughters, Chris (Dr. Michael) Zimmerer of Zanesville, Tracy Hill of Cleveland, Denise (Ernie) Bruns and Karen (Bob) Moon all of Zanesville; a daughter-in-law; Janet Hill of Zanesville, twelve grandchildren; Ryan Hill, Julia Hill, Craig Hill, Jason (Jen) Zimmerer, Jessica Zimmerer, Jonathon Johnson, Corey (Heidi) Bruns, Kyle Bruns, Karly Bruns, Mandy Moon, Jeremy Moon and Aaron Moon; a great granddaughter, Alyssa Hill; a sister-in-law; Thelma Tracey of New Lexington; a special niece, Pat (Jim) Snider of New Lexington and her beloved cat, Scottie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Hill, who died February 11, 1990 and a brother, T.J.Tracey. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. Mary cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and friends.
