Mary E. Marlowe, 90, of Zanesville, died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Clay House. She was born April 28, 1921, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Esther Stottsberry Edwards. She had worked as a realtor for over 30 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering her time and energy to various charities and organizations. Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Mark) Brown and Anne (Stephen) Hansel, both of Zanesville; two sons, John (Mary) Marlowe of Zanesville and William (Lynne) Marlowe of Granville; 11 grandchildren, Marlo, Matthew, Meagan, Mason, Abby, Kayla, Samuel, Brett, Brooke, Blake and Allison; 1 great granddaughter, Camryn; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Marlowe, who died January 1, 2000; a sister, Louise Silliman; and a half brother, Ralph Gladman.
