Mary Rose McGrath, 89, of Circleville, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at her residence. She was born August 27, 1918, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Fred and Nancy Overmyer Hollingsworth Sr. Mary Rose retired in 1948 from the Packing Department for Hazel Atlas and then retired in 1985 as a School Bus Driver for Starlight School. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the Rosary and Alter Society. Surviving are a son, Michael Gene (Lynn) McGrath of Oceanside, California; a daughter, Rita Ann (Dr. Vernon) Bolender of Circleville; four grandchildren, Tacey McGrath of Oceanside, California, Denise (Brian) Castle of Galloway, Ohio, Andrew Bolender of Madison, Wisconsin and Amy Bolender of Circleville, Ohio and two great granddaughters, Malorie and Natalie Castle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elton "Mac" McGrath, who died November 14, 1979; a daughter, Nita Kay McGrath, who died in 1950; a sister, Dorothy Hollingsworth and three brothers, Fred Hollingsworth Jr., John Hollingsworth and Thomas R. (Dick) Hollingsworth . Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. today, January, 30, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with a vigil service being held at 3:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 144 N 5th St., Zanesville, Ohio with A Dominican Father as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Zanesville.
