Maurice W. Tusing

Maurice W. Tusing, 81, of Hopewell, died at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born January 11, 1924 in Muskingum Co., Ohio a son of the late William W. And Ada Rusk Tusing. Mr. Tusing was a member of Mt. Sterling United Methodist Church, he retired after 32 years of service at Armco Steel, was a member of the American Legion at Gratiot, was a World War II Army Air Corp. Veteran. Maurice was an avid sports enthusiast but his greatest hobby was spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Ruth E. Frye Tusing, whom he married July 15, 1944, two sons, Steven (Cathy) Tusing of York, PA., and Roger (Julia) Tusing of Hopewell, six grandchildren, Maurica (Pete) Waugaman, William, Cody, Chelcey Tusing, Courtney and Caitlyn Miller and nine great grandchildren, Tamara Tusing, Jackie Waugaman, Kimberly Waugaman, Zachary Tusing, Coltin Tusing, Ashley Waugaman, Lacey Waugaman, Dalton Waugaman and Kaitlyn Waugaman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Tusing, Jr. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005 with Rev. Charles Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery in Mt. Sterling with full military honors being provided by the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
