Mertise (Anderton) Hamilton

Mertise Hamilton, 93, of Zanesville, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born April 20, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter to the late James and Willamenia Myers Anderton. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia (Gary) Moses of Nashport; her sons, Joseph (Sherry) Hamilton of Nashport and Michael (Becky) Hamilton of New Concord; and many grand children and great grand children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hamilton, who passed away in 1975; and her sister, Ella Lagenella. Friends and family of Mertise may attend a graveside service at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Mr. William L. Meaige officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville was entrusted with all arrangements.
