Michael Brent Burchett

Michael Brent Burchett, 66, of Zanesville, died at 3:34 P.M. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 11, 1951, in Zanesville, a son of the late Charles A. and Betty Baldwin Burchett. He was the owner-operator of All Temp Heating and Cooling Inc. since 1985, and it brought him great joy working with his son and grandson in the business. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam, and a lifetime member of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058. Michael loved God, his work, and being with his grandchildren and family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling in his RV with his wife to visit his family. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Katherine S. Gramlich Burchett, of the home, whom he married June 1972; a daughter Heather (Chris) Burford; a son, Ryan (Jody) Burchett; five grandchildren, Austin and Tanner Burchett, and Chloe, Kristian, and Caleb Burford; a sister, Sharon Pidcock; three brothers, Larry, Jeff, and Danny Burchett; step-mother, Joyce Burchett; mother-in-law, Geraldine Gramlich; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Brad) Stubbs; many nieces, nephew, and cousins; and special friends Don Newsom and Tim Mattingley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Edward Gramlich and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Burchett. Full Military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29.
