Michael Edward Flynn, 59, of Norwich, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at his home. He was born April 27, 1951, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, a son of Elsie Bednarczuk Flynn and the late Marshall Flynn. He retired in 2004 from Drexel J. Thrash Training Center in Howard, Ohio, was a lifelong member of Ohio Laborers Union Local #530 and for the past 5 years, he volunteered at Falls Elementary. He enjoyed turkey shoots, gardening, and enjoyed helping his mother, wife, children and grandchildren. Surviving are his mother, Elsie Flynn of Blue Rock; his wife, Claudia Flynn of the home; who he married October 7, 1972; a daughter, Melissa (Steven) Gould of Heath; a son, Matthew (Cindy) Flynn of Heath; six grandchildren, Marshall, Grace, Shelby, Riley, Paul, and Daniel; two brothers, Jeffrey (Peggy) Flynn of Clifton Park, NY, and Christopher (Sharon) Flynn of Chandlersville; a sister, Patricia (Fred) Weaver of Philo; a mother-in-law, Margie Frost of Zanesville; a brother-in-law, Michael (Tonya) Frost of Heath; two sisters-in-law, Monica (Bryce) Lingenfelter of Stockbridge, Georgia and Katherine (Joseph) Paryzek of Lawrenceville, Georgia and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the funeral home with Seth Lingenfelter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, near Sonora.
