Michael Gentry

Michael Anthony Gentry, 55, of Zanesville, died at 5:03 A.M. on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born February 15, 1961 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, son of Kermit and Sandy Gentry. He attended Zanesville High School where he participated in both football and basketball. He also attended Concord College in Athens, West Virginia. Mike loved sports, in particular the Miami Dolphins and Oklahoma Sooners, car racing, coupons, and jokes. Michaels career expanded 35 years in the auto parts business. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Amber Gentry and Arielle (Tommy) Holdren; and a son, Ashland Gentry; ex-wife, Cindy Bowman Gentry; grandchildren Madeline and Thomas Holdren; sister, Angela Gentry White; and niece and nephew, Mandi Robb and Morgan White. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Willis and Virginia Wood and Clarence and Ruby Gentry. Cremation was chosen at Michaels request with no calling hours being observed.
