Mildred Alice (Whyde) Bartholomew

Mildred A. Whyde Bartholomew, 97, of Nashport, died at 12:05 A.M. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at the Autumn Healthcare Center. She was born May 27, 1915, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Aden H. and Alta Middlemus Whyde. She was a member of Nashport United Methodist Church, and retired as a switch board operator from Bethesda Hospital after 20 years of service. Surviving are her son, William R. Bartholomew of the home; and a cousin, Helen Hisey of Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Bartholomew, who died January 30, 1980; brother Maxwell Whyde; and step-mother Gladys Fisher Whyde. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 13, 2012, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 14, 2012, with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
