MILDRED V. BERRY, age 85, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 3:00 am Monday, September 19, 2005 at the Willow Haven Nursing Home, Zanesville. She was born July 25, 1920, in Zanesville the daughter of the late Vernon I. And Lora B. Roberts Dickson. Mrs. Berry was a receptionist and switch board operator at the former Cooper Industry Co. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also attended the St. John's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Berry was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge # 302, served as Past Chairman of the March of Dimes, a member of the McGrawettes, a member of the Muskingum County Historical Society, served as a volunteer Gray Lady at the Bethesda Hospital. She was an avid golfer at the Jaycee Golf Course. Surviving a daughter, Melanie 'Gary' Weaver of Matlacha Fl., a son, Derwood 'Kathryn' Berry of Zanesville, two sisters, Dorothy 'James' Factor of Nashport, and Judy 'Ralph' Wolford of Zanesville. Three grandchildren, Bruce 'Barbara' Berry of New Albany, Andrea 'Dean' Stephens of Uniondale Ind. and Jessica 'Chad' Isaly of Dublin. Six great grandchildren, Patrick Berry; Nathaniel, Benjamin and Nicholas Stephens; and Tate and Grady Isaly. Also a grand daughter to be. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Durwood Berry, (11/7/1994), by two sisters, Leona Morehouse and Ruth Gallagher, and one brother Malcolm Dickson. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Baker Chapel, Zanesville Ohio, with the Dr. Alden Towberman officiating.
