Mildred F. Dickson

Mildred F. Dickson, 88, of Zanesville, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville. She was born July 31, 1921, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late George Crossland and Frances Sorrell Fisher. She was a volunteer at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital for 42 years. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, William Ellis "Bill" Dickson, whom she married June 13, 1940; a son, David (Sandra) Dickson of Pickerington; three daughters, Linda Godby of Zanesville; Karen (Phil) Shank of Westerville and Susan Bass of Atlanta, GA.; five grandchildren, Pam (Mike) Bellish, Michael (Wendy) Dickson, Suzy Lipecky, Carolyn Shank and Jason Godby; and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Sites and a grandson, Mark Dickson. Calling hours will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Pastor Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
