Mildred A. Talbert

Mildred Alberta "Bertie" Talbert, 83, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in Lancaster, Ohio. She resided in the Zanesville area her entire life. She was born July 26, 1925, in East Fultonham, Ohio to Sam Swartz and Gertrude Albert Swartz Johns. She is survived by her children, Dixie (Paul Russell) Graley of Gaysport; Elva Elbert "Junior" (Dora) Talbert of Homestead Falls, Ohio; Margie (Paul) Schooley of White Cottage; Terry (Linda) Talbert of Philo; Sandy (Stan Chapelear) Tipton of North Carolina and Tawnya Nace (Rick Phillips) of Zanesville; her brother, Herbert "Buster" Swartz; step sister, Katie Wolfe Paisley; her half siblings, Sam Swartz, Jim Swartz, Wanda Swartz Wilson and Linda Johns Pool; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She had worked for Essex Wire and Walmart and enjoyed crafts. Bertie was preceded in death by her husband, Elva Elbert Talbert, whom she married December 25, 1939; her parents; her siblings, Margie Perrin, Leona Marria, Fran Muldrew, Joy Swartz, Bobby Swartz, Billy Swartz; and a half sibling, Shirley Swartz Talbert. Friends and family will gather for a memorial service at the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Harrop and Bishop H. Lee Barnhart Jr. officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements.
