Morton J. Roberts

Morton J. Roberts, 75, of Zanesville, died at 1:55 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born February 20, 1937 in Zanesville to the late Clarence and Mary Edna Wilson Roberts. He retired from Imlays Florist after 12 years of service and retired from Burnham Foundry with 35 years of service. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Shirley Clymer Roberts, whom he married on March 16, 1985; two daughters, Deborah Dennis and Cecelia Roberts both of Zanesville; a step-son, Michael Vore of Zanesville; a brother, Clarence Bud Roberts of Zanesville; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Roberts and a grandson, Shane Krofft. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where the funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Morton will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
