Nancy Lou King, 81, of Chillicothe, died at 4:05 A.M. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at National Church Residences, Chillicothe. She was born September 1, 1936 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Donald Springer and Dorothy Shaeffer Brandfast. She was a Secretary and Bookkeeper for Central Ohio Legal Aid. Nancy was also the secretary for New Lexington Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Thornville lodge. She is survived by a daughter, Lynn (William) Hertler of Chillicothe; a son, Mark Allen (Beth) King of St. Clairsville; five grandchildren, Angela (Jeremy) Holland of Akron, Christopher Dunn of New Lexington, David Dunn of Columbus, Jason King of St. Clairsville and Kaitlyn King of St. Clairsville; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Benjamin, Renata and Piper Holland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents that raised her, Earl and Callie Shaeffer, and a sister Carolyn White; the father of her children, Johnny King; and a stillborn daughter.
