Nancy J Smith

April 14, 1952 — December 2, 2012

Nancy Jeanne Smith went home to be with the Lord, December 2, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born April 14, 1952, a daughter of Leah Bowles Smith of Zanesville, and the late Pastor Ronald J. Smith. Nancy was a graduate of West Muskingum High School and Bob Jones University. She was an elementary school teacher at Zanesville Christian School for 23 years. She then worked for Genesis Healthcare System for 12 years as a switch board operator. Surviving are her mother, Leah Bowles Smith; three brothers, Timothy (Karen) Smith of Zanesville, Robert (Lynn) Smith of Washington State, and Steve (Sherry) Smith of Zanesville; three sisters, Debra Gee, Karen (Donald) Sheppard Jr. and Tamara (Gene) Gard, all of Zanesville; eleven nieces and nephews; and sixteen great nieces and nephews. She was a beloved aunt to all of them. Also surviving are two special friends, Donna Mundy and Susan Hutson. Friends and family may call from 3:00-6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, and one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor L. Dale McCallister officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
